How do I get into inviting friends? It doesn't accept my email address
soosh02@optusnet.com.au or even @yahoo.com.au
Is there a way to change this?
Hope all is well!

We've been having issues with Galaxy leaving his mat after he's been placed. I correct him and send him back and he always looks sheepish. He's been teething alot and going to nip things, but I correct him.
He likes eating Aussie grass ;)

Something cute though...Yesterday I got some peanut butter out and put it on Simon's tummy and Galaxy licked it off his belly button and Simon thought it was so funny, he said " more butter" "more Galaxy (Galacee it sounds more like though...lol). I thought it was good for bonding which is going, but slowly, so I thought it could help.
How is everyone going?

LOL! Glow in the dark balls indeed! The anal gland thing is nasty. The stuff that comes out is so stinky, do not try this at home!

Sarah-Buddy was scooting his butt across the carpet. That's when I called Jeremy and he told me about getting the anal glands expressed. The vet agreed and took care of it for me. I think dog groomers can do it too.
Hope that answers your question. Don't know about glow in the dark balls! :)

Hiya! That's awesome Heather!
I'm not ready to take Galaxy to school yet, not even to pick the children up because he is still too skittish around children. He's just starting to get used to my children. Jasmine kisses him and hugs him and at first he jumped a half a mile, but now he's just letting her, which is great.
We did a little track last night and Galaxy ate Kosher frankfurts for his treat... then he came to kiss me because he knew we were very pleased with him when he found Simon, and I nearly died from his breath..urghhh
We are still having trouble with the "Go Potty" command. Anyone else having this trouble?
I'm feeding him Large Breed Ekunuba, but maybe the Aussie version doesn't taste as good, because he doesn't seem interested. He does like Possum poop and the "go potty" command usually ends up as a "leave it" command. That doesn't smell too good on the breath either.
It's getting time for a wash, so Mike said he'd take Galaxy into the shower with him on the weekend... From someone who never had a dog and didn't like them...I think we have something pretty special going on.
Okay, I'm droning on again...
Galaxy brings me his ball all the time (and no I don't have to shave them!) no matter where I am. I played ball from the bathtub yesterday!
At night before dinner I take him with the kids to a fenced park and throw his tennis ball. As it's getting close to winter it gets dark early.
Would you believe he lost his ball twice? Jas found it the first time and I found it the second time. Anyone know of glow in the dark balls? (stop laughing, I'm serious!).
I've got photo's to put up, but most of you know how challenged I am with this, so bare with me, they will eventually get up there.
Roberta, I'm so pleased to hear about Max and DD. I guess that's good news because now she's a pal to Will and Max and fits in nicely.
How are your birds? Any eggs hatch?
Peg we were priviledged to meet you (excuse my spelling)! What a treat for us all, having you and Tink and Denise and Judi come to visit us!!!
Big Hugs
Sarah :)

p.s. No one answered what the gland treatment helped with?

Buddy went to school with me all day today and did great! The kids that I teach (K-8) were so excited to meet him! He visited 13 classes and one group of sr. citizens. He behaved the whole time, did all of his obedience, behavior disruptions and tricks. I didn't even use his gentle leader- I DID use hot dogs! What a good boy! I had to teach several classes in between visiting other classrooms, and he stayed on his place the whole time (mostly sleeping because the day wore him out!) He was the star of the school. What a great day.

Hi Dear Spring Loaded Friends! I just love hearing about how well you're all doing. Such a privilege to meet all of you and your beautiful children. I wish we could hit the rewind button and do it all again. Hugs and pats all around!

Sarah, I loved your novellette, quite entertaining! (Although I guess I wouldn't be saying that if I had to live through it - I hope you also took advantage of the free booze!) DD also had the "gland treatment" while we were still at 4 Paws. She might need it again tomorrow when we have our first vet visit. I saw her scooting across the yard today. She's doing well, but also has fears like Galaxy -- but most of hers are caused by our 5-year-old, Max. If you all remember, I was worried that Max would be afraid of her because he's had "dog anxiety" for years. Well, the scenario I've been fretting over for months has actually turned into the opposite -- he won't leave her alone and actually chases HER around, making the big German Shepherd nervous. Never saw that one coming! Just 10 minutes ago, he locked DD and himself in her crate. Never a dull moment...

Why did the anal glands need expressing? Is this related to farting or scratching his bum on the carpet (you know how they slide around) What time is it by you? Buddy is adorable... but thank g-d he has a mum like you..because he has quite the strength! Galaxy is strong, but a wus! He gets frightened by everything..LOL.. we're working on it. Loves his ball heaps which helps reduce the stress for him. No matter how scared he is, show him the ball and he'd even jump into a frypan!
Glad Buddy's wound is healing well. x0x

Buddy got his stitches out tonight and is healing well. He also had to get his anal glands expressed...not his favorite moment!
He's been doing really well. We're in love with him!
