Thank you for the sentiment. Sometimes it's nice to remember that the ones we're fighting for realize we are fighting for them.

We opted for an in-home companion dog for our son, as opposed to a full service dog, but there don't seem to be any discussions about that. I was wondering if there were any other in-home companion people out there, who have received or are waitin...

I'm right there with you Melodie. It is so vague, and yet not vague at all. I think only another Aspie mom can truly understand. They fall under that multi-colored autism umbrella, and yet their legs and arms stick right out in the rain! When Aide...

Michelle Noah is homeschooled so we don't have that issue with the school allowing the dog or not!! But at children's church this week we implemented a hand's off rule during class time. Kids are not allowed to mess with Jelly Bean at all until al...

Riley is in an after school program called Girls on the Run, and Jingle made her debut last week. It is a tiny step toward being in school with Riley. The Principle had to allow it, etc. I have to figure out the fine line between wanting the kids ...

If you go to this site, you'll see that Good Earth is sponsoring a contest for three charities, but you can vote for your own. I just went in and entered 4 Paws. If you have a moment, think about doing this as well.

Welcome to the 4 Paws for Ability Social Networking Site!

This site is to complement 4 Paws for Ability's main site and also 4 Paws Dogs site. It's designed for participation by the immediate families of children seeking service dogs, and 4 Paws staff Board members. It's open for viewing by anyone, but only members can comment, upload, etc.

We'll keep you up to date on our new Capital Fundraising Campaign, give you a place to blog about your service dog adventures (before, during training, and once you've been certified), and more.

Be aware that while we have a moderated membership, anyone can visit the site and read the posts. The only areas that are completely private are our Inboxes (upper right-hand corner of the screen). Those messages are like Direct Messaging, and are strictly between the writers and readers.

We'll give each training group its own area where they can stay in contact.

We'll upload photos and videos, and you can, too, as long as they're related to 4 Paws in some way.

If you have a fundraising event, you can mention it here: there's a special area for Events.

We want to show the world that 4 Paws rocks! Join us, and also, feel free to click "Get Badge" and put a badge on your website leading back to this site.

You can personalize your own "My Page" with any theme you choose, or even create your own theme with a graphic.

Please keep your posts, pictures, and videos, etc. on topic. And please don't be offended when we delete off-topic posts.
